2014 Parada del Sol Parade

Event: 61st Annual Parada del Sol Parade

Location: On Scottsdale Road between Oak Street and Indian School Road in Scottsdale, AZ.
Details: World’s largest horse-drawn parade with around 1,000 horses and motorized vehicles/tractors (1950 or older). This year the theme is "Scottsdale's Historic Rodeo Rides into the Future." 150 plus entries including floats and bands. The Parade runs north up Scottsdale Road from Oak to Indian School. Street closures in the area include: Scottsdale Road, from Camelback to McDowell roads, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cattle Drive At 9:50 AM MST a cattle drive will start at Oak and Scottsdale Road and go north on Scottsdale Road to Indian School.
Trails End Celebration: The "Trails End Celebration" party begins immediately following the Parada del Sol Parade on 1st Avenue, between Brown Road and Scottsdale Road. The free block party is for all ages. Kid's Area with games, pony rides, food, live entertainment (main stage at 1st Avenue and Brown), merchandise vendors and more.
